A Hidden Gem in Siena! SCHIACCIA Mangia is an absolute delight! Tucked away in a charming narrow alley, this place offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is a memorable one.

We had the Siena’s Pork and La Toscana sandwiches, and they were simply outstanding. The Siena’s Pork was a perfect blend of tender, flavorful pork with just the right amount of seasoning. La Toscana, with its rich combination of local salumi and cheeses, was a burst of authentic Tuscan flavors in every bite. Both sandwiches were complemented by their homemade sauces and garnishes, making each bite a true delight.

To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a 1/2 liter of red wine, which paired beautifully with the sandwiches. For dessert, we indulged in their homemade cookies to dunk, which were absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

I really like discovering places like this one, tucked away in a small alley off the main street in Siena, warm and cozy. They use only local products (and the best ones). The schiacciata sandwiches are delicious and just the right portion. If you go with company, I recommend sharing two variations (or three if you’re really hungry). We had a dessert, the biscuit mix. I’m not usually a dessert person, but these biscuits were amazing, perfect with tea or coffee (we had tisana tea and an espresso with sambuca). They also have beer made by monks, which is a rare thing to find, and it was really good. The cocktails are very authentic and powerful too. The service was 10/10, the gentleman who attended us was really nice. I’ll probably come back for more cocktails...

Quite small sandwich with very dry bread and only a single slice of meat. The service was very poor and the man working was incredibly rude and condescending. I don’t believe the veracity of the other reviews. Seems like he asks for reviews on the spot to boost the rating.

Edit: I’m not sure why the cafe owner chooses to respond so aggressively to reviews and characterizes any critical review as incorrect or false. A review is an opinion.
