Trefilari Wine Bar — Restaurant in Siena

I would like to propose a visit in this location to all around this area. It is a wonderful small bar with a big range of wines (and other drinks as well). A lot are also available by glass. Most of them are from Italy sorted by region and to be honest, I didn’t know almost any of them. So we explained our tastes and wines we like and got a perfect recommendation. It was awesome! Also the offered small dishes were provided lovely and very tasty (ham, mortadella, cheese). So we were there often during our stay in Siena due to the friendly service and great wines. Even partly it can become pretty crowded because also local groups make a short stop for a drink here. But that should not stop you from visiting the bar...

Peculiar cocktails, good wine offering. My experience is mostly limited to cocktails and drinks after dinner, so I can't properly judge the food which was mostly fine during aperos, but this shouldn't be the reason to go here. Cocktails offered are rather varied, with distinctive mixes and names, wine selection is very good. Prices for cocktails are lower or on par compared to similar spots, wines are slightly above. We went on a friend’s recommendation, and because of the positive reviews. The welcome was surly and cold, maybe because we had our 2 dogs with us(well behaved and well known in many Senese bars & restaurants), although they promote themselves as “dog friendly”.
