To start with the highlights. Probably the best food I’ve had in Sorrento so far. I went with the risotto which didn’t disappoint- the saltiness from the pork rind working well to season the dish.
In some ways a difficult place to order if you don’t feel like steak. Almost 2/3 of the menu relates to steak of one kind or another and a lot of these are from Ireland or Scotland which are a lot closer to home for me and I don’t like it racking up food miles unnecessarily. Other restaurants seem to use locally farmed animals which appeals to me more. Just a personal thing for me but environmentally a steak that’s travelled further than I have to be there seems wrong.
So we chose some more local dishes. The Nerano pasta was also great and the pasta dishes were cooked with uniform excellence and probably deserve more attention. The hamburger is served without a bun and comes pink on the middle so if you don’t like to see that I’d recommend you order well done. It does come with fries though although that’s not clear on the menu.
Desserts were spectacular so I would not recommend skipping them. Wine choices are also very good and I enjoyed the Peccerino Romano
Service was excellent throughout with attentive and professional waiting staff.
On to the negatives. We reserved through the fork which was supposed to give us a 30% discount. I wasn’t hugely surprised when the bill came and no discount had been applied.
I could have argued but didn’t want to ruin a good meal but all I’d say is don’t expect that discount to be honoured if you reserve through that site. 5 euros per person cover is also not something that features anywhere except on the bill.
Ambiance is not a strong point. The restaurant is right next to a main road and if you are sat near the road you’ll be hard pressed to converse over the constant roar of motorbikes and ambulances. Ask to sit further inside if you have the choice. For these 2 things - minus one star. A good meal. Not a...

First of all it is at the busy main road in Sorrento. Very noisy and car exhaust gasses flying straight on to your plate. Most important, we came to eat a great steak and chose a 1.9kg Tomahawk steak from the written menu. Displayed as Euro 60/KG. We requested to prepare it medium rare. Unfortunately when the steak was ready, it was very raw and not seasoned with salt, pepper or any other spices. A separate hot stone is provided to additional bake your steak to your wish. Unfortunately with 1.9kg of meat such concept is not working and let you eat raw un-seasoned meat.
The cherry on top of the cake was that we needed to pay for 1.9KG, Euro 266. Total bill was Euro 298. The son of the owner, Giuseppe, never said anything about this price and straightforward deceived us and lured us into a steak we didn't order. Please be informed about this and be wary of how they try to fool people into mediocre food for an unrealistic price. This place is Not Good and...
Read moreFood was good, but felt like we were treated differently to other customers because we didn't order the most expensive steaks or alcohol. We ordered a standard steak each (between €25 to €30 each, without sides, so not cheap) because we weren't hungry enough to splurge on one of the fancier cuts, thinking we would come back later in the week for one of those. Following the service we received, we won't. The restaurant is basically a marquee extension on a busy road and the traffic noise is loud. It felt like the service went downhill when we had placed our order - the minimum order for the fancier steaks is 1kg, so expect to spend at least €60 on steak alone without sides included. After placing our order, the service became somewhat cold - the table next to us was cleaned and the water from the table was flicked on our legs without apology, and every other table but ours was offered complementary limoncello with the bill Couldn't fault the food but the service left us feeling unwelcome...
