Colapesce is a fantastic spot that seamlessly combines great ambiance with breathtaking views. Their aperitif selection, offered at €12, provides excellent value and caters to a wide range of tastes. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, adding warmth and charm to the experience. Located in a prime area overlooking the sea, it's an ideal place to relax, unwind, and enjoy both the setting and the hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a relaxed place for a drink and light bite to eat.

Nell’epoca delle recensioni più facili del giudizio, mi sono perso volentieri per Ortigia alla ricerca di un posto che senza alcuna conoscenza pregressa potesse ispirarmi. La semplicità e gli ottimi profumi che da subito arrivano da questo locale, insieme alla vista che meriterebbe un Tenco per cantarla con giusta grazia, hanno persuaso me e una collega a fermarci qui. Tutto è, in una parola, incantevole: ottima l’idea di una carta che insiste su pochi ingredienti, ma sa presentarli bene e privilegiare freschezza e qualità; buoni i vini presenti, tra i quali forse si vorrebbe qualche bolla di più, ma che comunque rispondono a un’idea coesa della carta; dolcissimo e puntuale il servizio, con quella riservata semplicità oggi così rara. Un pasto molto semplice il nostro, perché abbiamo provato la caponata, assai equilibrata negli estremi, e due primi: il tagliolino alle sarde, classico di ascendenza verghiana, ingentilito da una riuscita mantecatura, e il divino tagliolini al tonno in due consistenze, con una tartare di tonno che ricorderò sempre. Il posto è fin troppo riuscito perché servano queste parole a convincere qualcuno, ma spero bastino i sorrisi e il benessere dei clienti per convincere in futuro altri a venire.

It is a pity that we were moved to a table where only drinks are served, as that part is for the diners. But at several other tables they only drank aperitifs. We asked for it too, but we didn't get any small snacks, even though thats brought them to the other guests. Thank you for this “hospitality,”, I could be sad about the place, but I won't, because today is my birthday! I do not recommend the place!!!!

We passed by here by chance and decided to stay for lunch - and then came back again the next day because we loved it so much! Over the couse of two lunches we tried: salad with oranges, seafood salad, arancini, octopus, caponata, and the parmigiana (the only thing I wouldn't recommend if it's a warm day because it's boiling hot, served in a ceramic jar). Everything was light, fresh, and perfect for a dreamy, relaxing lunch setting against the backdrop of Ortigia and the sea. Their homemade tiramisu is delicious (as is their special homemade liquor out of rose water). The hospitality was outstanding! The lady who looks like Valeria Golino (Tom Cruise's girlfriend in Rain Man) was a wonderful host! Ask about the Sicilian legend of colapesce, where the restaurant name comes from. Highly...

Seafood smelled and tasted like it would be not good anymore. we did not finish the plates, the first bite was too bad, not even the pure pasta was any tasteful… Way to overpriced. Looks nice, but we left 100€ there for some small Arancini, then a tartar di Gamberi which was more of a mozzarella and tomato mix, not a lot of gamberi and with the mozzarella you did not taste any of the shrimps. Took one bite of the main course (pasta with tuna) but left it from there. Raw Tuna was frozen and the grilled pieces in the tuna pasta smelled and tasted like they...
