Hugely disappointed with this restaurant. We had scanned places to eat in the vicinity and initially the anticipation was matched with what seemed to be the head waitress. However within 10 mins everything went downhill. Our new waitress greeted us took our order but then forgot our location and brought our starters out to another table, after calling her to explain that the food was in fact ours, she seemed puzzled and was then told to bring out food back in. Another new waitress comes out and this time she was confident and assured us that our food was delayed and will be here soon. Another 15 mins and it arrived, yes it was fine. Then 2nd waitress came back saying can she take our order which we replied, we already did and to you already. After a couple of hours of walking the gorgeous Ortigia , we got hungry, and I turned to Google Maps to find the right restaurant, and Google did not disappoint! Montecarlo is a Hidden Gem! The food was exceptional, and the service was even better!!! Regarding the food, I could taste the freshness and the high quality with every bite! The fritto misto was extraordinary! The risotto nero is also a great dish! The atmosphere is amazing, and their staff is so happy to serve you, and they really value you as a customer. Pricing is very affordable. Triscele is a very good restaurant located in the heart of Siracusa's Ortigia, few minutes walk for the Cathedral Square and the Aretusa Spring. The menu offers an interesting choice of dishes, mostly based on the local traditional cuisine and an emphasis on seafood and fish, as well as a varied pizzas menu. The level of cuisine is excellent, all the dishes we tried were both delicious and well presented and also the pizzas had some interesting, innovative ingredients combination.
