First of all the service was fantastic and the servers went out of their way to be as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the food. The starters (frittura mista) was definitely not fresh and could well have been frozen not to mention the poor presentation with a handful of lettuce on the side. As for the main course, the tuna was first served raw and cold from the inside and was then changed to a slightly better cooking but still tasted bad. The paccheri with clams and pistacchio was mediocre at best. Unfortunately this was our last night in Ortigia and this was definitely the worst dinner we had during our 7-day trip in Sicily. Read morei was there with my husband and i never saw a restaurant this dirty before. my plate looked like it had been spit on and my husband saw fingerprints on the border of his glass. we hoped the food would make up the terrible hygiene but we were disappointed. i had couscous with fish, better said bones and hair, thanks for the dna sample to the disgusting cook. the service was terrible and the waiter was so annoying. his jokes were inappropriate and i felt uncomfortable when he spoke to us. the best part was when the owner came to our table and bored us with his overrated life story. i don't care when and why you started this restaurant salvo!
