Sicily #17, Ortigia #6, Pasticceria/bakery #2, Cafe #3: came here for my birthday brekkie, and it was quite the experience. Not sure what was going on during the visit (more guests than usual and/or understaffed), but it was incredibly slow.
If possible, I highly recommend you order inside and then try to snag a table outside after (if possible). Otherwise, highly recommend ordering to go as waiting for table service is a whole ordeal.
We ordered two coffees and two pastries, and I highly recommend the caffè freddo con panna and the cornetto al pistacchio 🥐 Also recommend ordering in Italian or if you speak English not deviating from how they typically serve things (my cappuccino freddo was initially a hot cappuccino with ice cubes).

Unfortunately, the service doesn’t match the standard of the kitchen. You can’t order at the counter and then take a seat; you’re expected to wait at the table – but today, no one came to take our order at all.
There is one lovely young woman with long dark hair who is always kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the older lady at the register tends to be unfriendly.

There is a lot of seating space in the back, which comes in handy on colder mornings. There is a table for bigger groups available at well. They service is very friendly, they speak very good English and explain everything well. The wifi works well too. Selection of both sweet and savory freshly made snacks is wide.
