Franco Wine bar & Typical Sicilian Food — Restaurant in Taormina

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Franco, a charming bar with an inviting atmosphere and exceptional food. However, one element truly stood out and made my experience extraordinary - our waiter Fabio. Upon arrival, Fabio warmly greeted us and went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences. He quickly arranged a table outside on the terrace, ensuring we could enjoy our meal in the pleasant surroundings. Fabio's kindness and genuine respect made us feel valued as customers. What truly impressed me was Fabio's extensive knowledge of Sicilian cuisine. He eagerly shared insightful tips and recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. His attentiveness throughout the evening was exceptional, leaving no detail unnoticed. It is important to emphasise that Franco would not be the same without Fabio's exceptional service. His dedication and friendly nature have undoubtedly contributed to the bar's welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Franco, not only for its delightful ambiance and delicious dishes but also for the outstanding service...

We spent around €30 here we ordered the lasagne two cakes and drinks.

The lasagne had not much taste. In my opinion I didn’t like it so at all. The cake was nice. (I would eat it again.

Costumer service. The guy who serve us was polite. But the old lady she was really RUDE!!! And miserable!!! I went back for the toilet the day after she was Shouting I should buy something, Yeah I get that, but There no need to act that way.

Specially I was already a customer the day before. And she made a big scene everyone was watching. I felt embarrassed!!! I mean I could of come back another day to eat again.

And she also recognized us from the day before. Anyway I don’t recommended this place because of the attitude. Don’t hurt to be nice. It’s just asking to go to the toilet I would pay also her.

I will never come back again...

I am so happy to have found this gem of a place! I have traveled FAR and WIDE around the world and I have to say that this is one of my favourites! Relaxed, cool vibe! The staff was super nice and the place is really cute!

What I have to say is those jam tarts are OUT OF THIS WORLD! My husband had the marzipan cake, which was equally amazing! This is our 'breakfast spot" in Taormina for the next 4 days! Great coffee, too!! The other food does look delish, as well.. I think maybe the nice woman, who is Nonna, is the owner, and she explained to me the first time there that pastry chef is incredible!
