We called ahead to check about vegetarian options and were told it wouldn’t be a problem. Once there, we realized the vegetarian dishes were just regular ones with the meat removed — for example, pasta with sausage and mushrooms became just pasta with mushrooms. When we asked for something to be added, the chef said no other ingredients were available, which came across as a lack of effort. Worse, the first “vegetarian” dish still had pieces of sausage in it, clearly cooked together and picked out. An absolute hand down place in old town! Our server(for twice) Johan(Giovani?) was excellent! We tried their beef carpaccio, salami and cheese plate, Orecchiette pasta. And OMG! The pasta was fantastic!! It’s a must try. Johan recommended us light German beer, which paired awesome with food we ordered. For the second visit, we ordered the same beer, the same pasta before we left Taranto. We tried Orecchiette pasta a couple times somewhere else, this place has the best one. Durante la mia recente vacanza, ho deciso di seguire il consiglio di alcuni amici e visitare "La Locanda dei Briganti." L'atmosfera che ci ha accolto è stata subito calorosa, e abbiamo optato per un pranzo all'aperto, visto che all'interno non c’era l’aria condizionata. Questa scelta si è rivelata perfetta, poiché ci siamo goduti il bel tempo in un ambiente piacevole. Il menù offre un’ampia selezione di piatti a base di carne, il che è stato un vero paradiso per gli amanti della buona cucina. Ho scelto un filetto e devo dire che era semplicemente superbo: cotto alla perfezione, tenero e ricco di sapore. Ogni morso era un'esperienza gustativa in sé. Anche i contorni e gli antipasti che abbiamo condiviso erano deliziosi e arricchivano ulteriormente il nostro pasto. Per concludere, non potevamo esimerci dai dolci, che si sono rivelati altrettanto gustosi. Una dolcezza perfetta per chiudere il pranzo in bellezza. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: il personale era cordiale e molto attento, rendendo l'intera esperienza ancora più piacevole. Infine, i prezzi erano assolutamente onesti, considerando la qualità del cibo e del servizio. In sintesi, "La Locanda dei Briganti" si è rivelata una scelta eccellente e sicuramente ci ritorneremo!
