Magna Bistrò Italiano — Restaurant in Trieste

Went to this bistro tonight because of all the good reviews. Service was very good, although the girl who welcomed us and told us of the specials gabbled away in English very quickly and we could not understand what she was offering. I am an English native speaker. The food was OKish. Nothing really good. The music coming from the adjoining bar was much too loud which spoilt our experience. The tables are tiny. They offer water then bread and when you add to that wine, there is not much space for the meal. If you had two meals and a side dish, no way. The toilets were very clean but one WC for men, woman and also invalid??? The tap was loose, the blow dryer useless but as I said a nice clean toilet. All in all, I think you could do...

Too good. The food and the servers are top notch. Currently they have about 210 reviews but I’m surprised they don’t have more. The deserts afterwards were also exceptional.

I also must say their waiters and waitresses are great. Compared to what we heard and what we have seen, it’s a breath of fresh air seeing friendly and good waiters who do their job with a passion. Our male waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating to us and explained us the deserts and also gave us wines according to our wishes and he got it on the dot.

Also the dining area inside has a great design and great atmosphere. When we sat down I said this place looks nice and it was.

I was invited at the last minute to lunch in this little hidden corner, which, I admit, I didn't even know existed. I must say that it was a pleasant discovery.

I opted for a simple appetizer, a cheese platter, so I can't express myself exhaustively on the menu. However, what struck me deeply was the welcoming atmosphere and the extraordinary attention paid to customers. The room is taken care of in every detail, with an impeccable cleanliness that does not go unnoticed.
