Best place we ate at in trieste, immediately welcomed when we went to make a reservation, once seated and ordered drinks we received a beer glass as a gift (ripper start!)
bread and oil was given to our table immediately and we didn’t have to ask (a different restaurant ignored us while giving the tables around us bread and oil the previous night and were quite rude the moment we entered) so this was a nice gesture and made us happy
The food was incredible and the servers were delightful. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and quantity (very similar to prices back home in Australia) food came out quickly and FRESH!
Our Italian is quite poor as we had gotten off a cruise ship and didn’t have time to properly learn the languages of each country we visited as we were only in Italy for 2 nights however the server spoke quite good English and chose a great beer as we weren’t quite sure what to order. 100% would recommend to any foreigners looking for a great meal and experience.
(Was very busy which it should be for how great it is, so make sure you make a reservation it was full within 20minutes of opening)
Big thank you for finishing our trip with such a...
Read moreFor dinner we ordered their zuppe de pesce (fish soup) as our first course and a pizza to share as our dinner. The zuppe de peace was really more like a seafood cioppino, a meal. In my jar there were calamari, mussels, baby clams, octopus, and scampis. If I was home I would have taken the sauce for pasta. For pizza we ordered the prosciutto e funghi. The pizza was one of the best Neapolitan style pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was the right amount of cooked without being burnt and there’s just enough toppings on the pizza without the crust being soggy. The servers were friendly and attentive and our meal was paced properly. They did charge a one euro cover per person, which we thought was very reasonable. Considering earlier for lunch we went to a restaurant that charged 2...
Read moreWe entered the restaurant at 15:05 and were told they are closed for lunch so i asked when they open again and i was told at 19:00 We came back at 19:40 and the place was almost empty, we asked the waitress if they had a table for 4, the waitress asked us if we had a reservation, and we said we didn't, she asked a guy behind the counter if she can sit us, and even without looking at us the guy barked no, I politely asked if we could sit out side and have a pizza, we were with 2 young kids (5 and 2 in a stroller) but they won't have any of that, is that how you show your hospitality? Couldn't you mention when we first came in that we need to reserve a place? Worst...
