We came pretty late in the day (5:30pm) so presumably it’s better to come in earlier when the baked goods are fresh and available.

The service was really good, so I’m thinking it was just the late hour we came in which meant less selection of pastries.

The croissants we got were ok. One was slightly filled and the other was empty. The cafe was a nice place to relax and rest our feet for a bit. I chalk it up to not being able to speak Italian and not being able to request a filling in...

My experience echoes the previous positive reviews, however I must add that prices for brioche are now 1.7-2 euro and coffee was 1.4 for decaf macchiato and 1.6 for cappuccino, not to mention the 1 euro each service fee for dining at the table (as opposed to standing at the bar) Quite steep to stomach despite the kind and prompt service and nice interior. Esperienza da zero stelle per principio: h7.50, da sola in tutto il locale con i due baristi, 2euro una brioches e 1.60euro per un cappuccino, sullo scontrino appare in più 1euro per essermi appoggiata cinque minuti d' orologio ad un tavolo col mio zaino di lavoro sulle spalle mai tolto (tenendo conto che tazza, croissant etc me li sono portati e riportati da sola in quanto gesto spontaneo di gentilezza che rivolgo ovunque mi fermo a consumare una colazione "al volo"). Alla mia rimostranza per il rincaro, mi si fa notare che su un cartello con sfondo rosso sopra la macchina dei caffè c'è scritto che il servizio al tavolo è a pagamento (servizio non avvenuto comunque per eccesso di educazione mia probabilmente). Sarebbe bastato farmi notare per la volta successiva il cartello appeso e/o dirmelo sul momento, io avrei deciso se utilizzare la sedia o meno, e magari sarei tornata proprio apprezzando il "savoir faire" e l' onestà !!!!! Invece il risultato è stato ben diverso.....: immaginatelo, sicuramente ci azzeccate cari...
