The burger was decent but the appetizers and the moussaka clearly lacked seasoning. In any case, all servings were way too small for the price. Are vegetables made of gold that we only found 4 potato chips next to our burger and a paper-thin layer of eggplants in our moussaka?
As long as chefs mistake "vegan" with "tree branch eater on a diet", the stereotype that vegan food is a tasteless fad for eco hipsters will endure...
EDIT: It seems the owner is completely missing the point and dismisses any criticisms with pedantic "you were looking for fast food" answers.
For the record: we do NOT like or want fast food. We've eaten several gourmet vegan dishes over the world and went to your establishment expecting a gourmet experience.
This is precisely the point of our review. The owner seems to advertise his cuisine as very refined, flavorful and original... it wasn't.
Don't get me wrong it wasn't fast food, but come on... moussaka, vegan burger and fried zucchini flowers are not exactly culinary revolution.
And you know what? Non-original food with good products and good pricing would have been perfectly fine! The issue is that we had the dishes of a standard restaurant (and not particularly flavorful, even with palates used to gourmet experiences) and the price of a gourmet restaurant.
It seems to me that the owner as a classical case of Chef's ego, spending too much time experimenting in the kitchen, and not enough time actually TASTING his dishes and putting himself in the shoes of the customer to see if the dishes are properly balanced in terms of flavors, or reasonably priced. You having fun in the kitchen and enjoying the theory of cooking and the customer experience are two different things!
So my constructive criticism is this: don't get complacent, check your ego, and listen to demanding customers, not tourists who will be happy with whatever you put in...
Read moreOver the river Po on a really nice street lined with shops and other eateries, there is a really nice vibe about this area. I had prebooked, (and I definitely recommend you do the same), dinner for 7.30pm and I was the first diner there, greeted by a lovely staff member, I sat outside, as it was a beautiful evening and nice atmosphere on the street. The menu was excellent, really hard to choose something, actually the first page is a tasting menu, which I would have loved to try, but it was too much for one person to eat. I chose "la Profumata" and it was absolutely delicious. The wine was very good. I noticed that it was served by the "glass" or ", bottle " this may sound obvious, but on all my other trips to Italy, wine is served by the quarter and half liters, which I prefer, as it's an actual measurement, pouring by hand is not fully accurate. The outside sitting area was full within half an hour, the staff were actually bringing out more tables and chairs. From what I could see, the only toilet was down in the cellar, they were clean and very nice, but the steps were steep, just so you know. I definitely recommend eating here, for high quality food with a...

Real review: Be careful with the staff offers
The food is good. I went there once, and I was very happy. Having that experience I invited friends. The first time I ordered a pizza as my main dish ( around 12 euros ).
The second time I ordered sth else. But I asked for some extra bread 🍞 since they brought it for us the first time (without us asking ) and not the second time. The owner suggested to bring focaccia.
We said fine.
He brought the so called pizza I ordered the first time Charged us 12 euros more. Without even telling us at the time of suggestion.
This is not fair and its abusing the clients unfortunately.
Good food but not comfortable at all with the owner treatment with clients...
