Mamma mia — Restaurant in Turin

The food was ok, don't get me wrong, but the whole experience was a bit weird. Starting off by walking by and looking at three of the glass windows that had been hit by stones and had major cracks already gave me a bad vibe. The waiter was weird too, when he proceeded to snarkly correct me on the proper name of the pizza I ordered (keep in mind I'm Italian too). My brother and I looked at each with a "what in the world?" kind of look. The pizza was ok but nothing out of this world that would make want to come back (as opposed to Zero pizzeria) to the point that the night after, rather than eating my last pizza before going back to the US, I decided to get some charcuterie at the local market. Mediocre pizza and food. Plus the owner is a fascist Meloni candidate (running for local office) who shares racist, anti-immigrant, homophobic views. Sorry, but I don't like my pizza with such hatred and bigotry. Businesses should strive to create a welcoming environment for all customers, regardless of their political beliefs or backgrounds! I would not recommend this establishment....

L'atmosfera è calda e invitante, il personale, gentile e premuroso, ci ha accolto con cortesia e professionalità, guidandoci nella scelta delle specialità della casa.

Il menu è un viaggio gastronomico attraverso le ricette tradizionali, che, come abbiamo potuto constatare, sono preparate con ingredienti freschi e genuini. Tra gli antipasti, degni di nota raccomandiamo la caponata, un'esplosione di sapori con melanzane, peperoni, olive e capperi, e la parmigiana di melanzane, un classico della cucina siciliana che qui raggiunge livelli di eccellenza!

Per i primi piatti, ci siamo fatti tentare dagli gnocchi al castelmagno, come secondi, consigliamo il pesce fresco alla griglia o al forno. In alternativa, consigliamo la tagliata di carne che qui viene impreziosita da un olio di altissima qualità.
