Moi Moi Gastronomia Salentina — Restaurant in Turin

Myself and a colleague were loading a truck all afternoon in this busy little street and decided to pop in for some lunch as a good crowd was forming outside. Host was very friendly and helpful, going over the entire menu and translating into english even though he clearly had a lot to do. Food was simple and tasty, very good value for money.

Would also like to say that the owner, seeing that we were working in the hot midday sun; brought us bottles of ice-cold water free of charge which we greatly appreciated.

The food is fairly good. The orecchiette di cime rapa was quite good, but the calzone was a bit dry. There is no service, but then again they did not charge coperto, so that is a plus. The food is relatively cheap, probably as a result of its proximity to the university. The two of us had water, some wine and a dish each, it came to 17euros. Doesnt look like much from outside, but when you sit down here you wont regret it. The food was fantastic and the man serving us explained each dish to us. We are vegetarian and he described us the dishes he has and what he recommended. The green turnip pasta was by far my favourite primi along with a broad bean dip. Such simple amazing food.
