The outside appearance looked pretty good with live catch displayed from restaurant window. We had a number of waiters serving us (uncommon, but not a deal breaker) so I will try to summarize our experience - First server Firoz was kind of rude and abrupt. When I asked him about the size of pizza he said it's Italian size. Unsure what that meant. I asked him if it was single slice or full size. When I referred to 10/12/14", he said it's 20cm. I was surprised but ordered anyway. After entree was served, Firoz disappeared completely without a mention of him getting replaced by whom. Our pizza was served by another person and so was the wine. No one came in between to ask about the food or if we needed anything. At the end when it was time to clear the plates another person came and asked how was everything (Hasan). We waited for quite a while if someone would ask for desert and finally when we looked around for the check. Hasan came over and asked if we wanted desert. We also chit chat quite a bit and it was then he said he was the manager. I was quite upset by this time but the chat kind of pacified me. While waiting for desert I heard another waiter cursing behind a customer (in native language). Also heard Firoz tell a customer that desert was 'homemade', to which the other customer was pretty amused and so was I. There was nothing homemade of the desert served there. Food wasn't bad but the service was below average and pretty lackluster. Sometimes few things were pretty hilarious as well.
Of late we never go to restaurant with bad reviews and made this exception (without looking at it) since it looked good from outside and plus it was close to St. Mark's Square. We were intrigued by the staff in a Italian restaurant and hence gave them the benefit of doubt. So with the exception of Hasan, I don't think we can say too many good things about this place.
Would not recommend to...
Read moreAvoid this restaurant at all cost. The service is appalling and the food is terrible. My girlfriend asked for a glass of wine and the waiter said that it comes in a small bottle, we said OK. When they brought the bill, the price of said bottle was 3 times the price of the glass of wine listed on the menu.
When we queried this with the waiter, he said that the guy who took the order was new. So we pay extra for someone who isn’t trained properly?! Then he said we should have asked for a glass (which my girlfriend did). The wine by the way was a bottle of white which was never put on ice and it took the waiter five minutes to open as he did not know how to open the bottle so it wasn’t the service we were paying extra for!
The food was poor and microwaved. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and I wasn’t even given a spoon to eat it with! I mean come on! If you can’t do the basics don’t open a restaurant! We were never checked back on and never offered dessert. They simply didn’t care! My girlfriend is Italian and she ordered in Italian in a place claiming to be an Italian restaurant and they claimed they didn’t understand her order?!
Go at your peril! Check your bill upon paying but avoid these con artists...

Then he proceeded to man-splain to me that my boyfriend drank the wine so we had to pay. Extremely rude behaviour. I am Italian and I ordered in Italian. The food was microwaved and terrible. My chicken came with 1 (yes, one) small, cold piece of roast potato. The waiter took almost 5 minutes to open the wine bottle at our table, he didn't know how to use the bottle opener. I was embarrassed for him. The restaurant was dirty and we saw people leave because they were looking for waiters attention and they ignored them. As an Italian citizen I am ashamed that places like this are allowed to stay open. Please do yourself a favour and don't eat in...
