I dined at this restaurant yesterday and would like to share my experience. Firstly, after being seated by server A, I was asked if I wanted water. I requested tap water, but he informed me they only had still water. I agreed, but he never returned. The server who took my order was a very kind lady who recommended delicious dishes. After my cocktail was served, the table started shaking for some unknown reason, causing the drink to spill everywhere. Server B used my napkin to wipe the table and claimed he would bring me a new one, but he then disappeared just like server A.
While I was enjoying my cocktail, server C abruptly placed a basket of bread on my table and walked away without a word. The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the sweet potato fries I wanted were missing from my order. I assumed they might have forgotten due to how busy they were, and I usually prefer not to cause trouble. Halfway through my steak, I realized there was no salt, black pepper, or olive oil on the table. While I was unsure what to do, I got some sauce on my hands and noticed I had no napkins.
At this point, I was truly upset. I am generally not a picky person, but the treatment I received felt disrespectful. Eventually, I had to seek help from the lady who took my order earlier. She was very polite and did everything she could to make up for the issues. I truly appreciate her efforts. It seemed like all the other Italian male servers were avoiding me.
The food was delicious, though the bread served with the bone marrow was completely burnt, so I could only take a small bite out of respect for the dish. If you are a native Italian or a white European, I would highly recommend this restaurant, as you might receive a warm and welcoming experience. The difference in treatment between my table and the others was quite noticeable.
I don’t want to summarize my overall experience because, even four hours later at 3 a.m., I still cannot accept how I was treated during my first visit to...
Read moreI’m going to leave a review based on my experience at this steakhouse in both of its locations, because while one of them was truly amazing, the other left me very disappointed.
The first location, in Santa Croce (photo attached below), was wonderful from every point of view. I ordered a ribeye for €25 and received a generous portion of meat, and it was incredibly tasty. I honestly didn’t expect to get that much for such a price.
On the other hand, the second location, in San Marco, was disappointing for several reasons.
The first issue was that they mixed up our order with the table next to us. After placing the food on our table, they came back to take it away, saying they had made a mistake, and brought it to the table next to us. The guys at that table said they hadn’t ordered that dish, so the waiter took it back to the kitchen. Less than five minutes later, he came back with the exact same piece of meat he had originally given us (so you can imagine how it felt eating a medium-rare steak that had been going back and forth for 5–10 minutes).
The second issue was the portion I received—it was much smaller than what I got at the Santa Croce location, and yet I paid €1.50 more.
The third issue was that I ordered 4 shots of Vecchio Amaro at the end of the meal, and after waiting around 10 minutes, I had to ask another waiter to help with the order.
The rating I’m leaving is strictly based on the food and the service we received from the staff. I have nothing to complain about regarding the atmosphere or the rest of the waiters, who did their best to help us.
So, if you want to eat good, hearty, and hot meat, definitely go to the Santa Croce location.

Read moreThis place is one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The service was amazing - very fun atmosphere, our waitress was so interesting and fun to talk to, and she had great recommendations based on what we told them we liked. While the food was great, we would go again just for her. We got the assorted cheeses, wine, tomahawk steak, grilled vegetables, and espresso. The steak was cooked perfectly to our liking. The cheeses each had a very distinct, yet complementary flavor. The wine recommendation was absolutely on point, I couldn’t just stop at 1! Oh, and can’t forget how good their bread is! I loved the rustic loaf in particular. We went on the early dinner side - I think we arrived right around 5. We were the only ones there for about 20-25 min, until 4-5 more groups trickled in. Normally, that can feel quite awkward at a restaurant, but it felt like the most natural thing here. It felt very intimate, inviting, and comfortable. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is very homey, warm, and comfortable. The only negative experience we had was the incredibly rude American couple sitting behind us, it was embarrassing to hear how they were treating the staff. They complained about everything. But the staff handled them beautifully, it was really a work of art 😂 But, that kind of thing can’t be controlled 😀 We will definitely visit this place again on...
