Fusion Puppa — Restaurant in Venice

First impression was very good, the atmosphere is good and the waiter was very friendly. First thing that wasn't overly pleasant was, that the wine I ordered was served in a warm glass which also makes the wine warm. Appetizer was very good, I had Bruschetta and it was great, good seasoning, bread perfectly crunchy and the tomato tasted fresh. For the main dish I had spaghetti with tomato sauce which was definitely good looking. It was absolutely over salted, there were some other seasoning but almost impossible to taste, because of the overwhelming saltyness. When I was finished there was also a puddle of oil in the middle of my plate, I know that there is oil in a tomato sauce but it was simply too much of it. As a side for the spaghetti I had a salad which was solid with some seasoning already on it but I had to do the balsamico and oil dressing myself, which I think is a very good idea. Everything in the salad tasted fresh and it was a good mixture, the salad was all in all solid. In the end I had to try the Tiramisu, it was okayish, something that I really don't like is that on the top there was not normal cocoa powder like usual but sweetened one, which made the whole thing overly sweet. All in all an okay restaurant, I wouldn't go there again but for people who just want to eat...

Just had a wonderful dinner at Fusion Puppa and we can't wait to come back! Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was so wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere. Forget about the nightmare tourist traps on the canal. This is the real Venice you need to experience. I can't say enough nice things.

♦️STARTERS My wife and I both shared the bruschetta and the Caprese. Both were absolutely delicious with really nice portions.

♦️ ENTRÉES I got the bolognese tagliatelle and it was incredible! One of the best I've ever had in my life. My wife got the gnocchi pasta with cheese and she really loved it!! I tried a little myself and I have to say it really was something special. You can taste the love and dedication the chef has put into your food.

💰PRICE Very fair price!! Not expensive at all! Some of these tourist traps on the canal charge an insane cover or an arm and a leg microwaved lasagna. If you want to pay less and eat better and really enjoy...

Was excited to try this place based on the great reviews, but unfortunately did not have a great experience. The food was fine we got the cheese gnocchi and tagliatelle ragu, but the service was awful. We ate outside since inside was very warm. When the waitress walked up to take our order she was talking and we were trying to figure out if she was talking to us then realized she was on a Bluetooth phone call. We had to wait until she was ready to order. She seemed unsure of the menu as we had to repeat our order multiple times. It was difficult to get her attention through service as she kept leaving the restaurant to make phone calls a little way down the alley. Despite writing our order down at the beginning, when we asked for the check she had to ask us what we had ordered. Also some actual bread would have been nice with the pasta dishes instead of the pre-packaged crunchy breadsticks...
