A great experience and delicious food. My boyfriend and I went there for a late dinner. It is located on one of the shopping streets in Venice. We were looking at the menu when a waiter came out and asked if he could help us. Already from the first meeting the staff was nice and helpful. We said we wanted dinner and asked to be placed inside because of the hot weather. They came over almost immediately to ask for drinks and then gave us time to decide for the food. We got a 3 meal course, where I got fish and my boyfriend got meat. The carpaccio was delicious but the fresh raw fish I got was way more delicious and not fishy at all. It was paired with delicious lemon oil and olive oil with pepper is was a new experience for me and it was all the money worth. For the main course I got Turbot fish and my partner got lasagna, both were a delight to eat and very flavor full. For dessert we got the tiramisu and it was not disappointing, normally I'm not a big fan of coffee but the Italian understand to balance the sweet cream with the coffee so it was not that much coffee, but you could still taste it, it was delicious ! When we were done, the staff came over with af sweet wine, it was just a little glass and he said it was made from both white and red wine, it was an absolute pleasure and we ended up bying a bottle ;)
It was the best place we have eaten in Venice so far and we would definitely recommend the restaurant to other people, though mostly to those who like fish and seafood, because that is the star...

The menu outside doesn’t match the menu inside and we were blatantly overcharged.
We wanted vegetarian options which were posted outside. We had a glass of wine when we noticed the inside menu and were happy to just have the wine and leave. They forced us to have something as they made it a point “they are a restaurant”.
Someone else came out and rolled his eyes at us not wanting anything due to dietary restrictions. He then said since they are a restaurant we need to order food. He said he could do pasta with tomato sauce. We said fine and we would share. Another eye roll from the server. If the place had been busy or others waiting to sit at tables I would have been more understanding.
When the bill came out, it was clearly overcharged €18 for the pasta and tomato sauce that anywhere else was €10 max. Also each glass of house wine was €8, again usually €3 or €4 (€6 max) anywhere else.
When asked about the overcharge, they took offense and then rolled eyes again. When he didn’t have a response for the overcharge he offered a discount on the bill which only came out to a couple of euros.
It wasn’t worth the back and forth. Just please know this information before dining here.

Read moreUpon entering, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not as our intended restaurant was unexpectedly closed for maintenance. When we said "no", the friendly smile disappeared. That should have been our clue to just go somewhere else. The restaurant was mostly empty and we were seated. Other patrons came in and obviously also had no reservation based on what I heard, but they did not get the same scowl of disapproval. We ate, the food was ok, but served "roughly", not gently or gracefully like we saw at the table next to us. We had to get our own olive oil and balsamic vinegar from another table as none was on our table and none was offered. At the end of our meal, I excused myself to use the restroom and while away, my gf was presented with the check and was asked to pay a tip. That caught her off guard as we have never been asked to pay a tip here in Italy...and because she has a big heart and was ignorant on the matter, she paid 20%!!!! I told her about what tip is appropriate and customary for the future, but we definitely won't be back to this place. Go at...
