Our final meal in Venice was, without a doubt, the best of our trip, and we couldn't be happier that we chose this incredible family-run restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt authentically Venetian and incredibly welcoming. The service was a highlight from the very beginning. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu, taking the time to talk us through the dishes and offer his recommendations. For our starters, my wife and I shared the scallops, and they were delicious. For our mains, the food continued to impress. My wife's pasta was prepared tableside in a cheese wheel, which was a spectacle to watch and tasted even better. I had a unique pasta dish with a pistachio crème and crispy bacon, which was a special recipe from the restaurant and an absolute revelation. The desserts, a homemade tiramisu for me and a baked lemon tart for my wife, were the perfect sweet finish. The warmth and generosity of the staff shone through again when they brought us a complementary drink. Instead of the usual limoncello, we were treated to a lemon sorbetto mixed with prosecco - a brilliant, refreshing, and unique way to end a perfect meal. This restaurant truly saved the best for last, providing a culinary experience that was both unforgettable and heartfelt. We left feeling grateful for the incredible food and the genuinely friendly service. If you're looking for a meal that embodies the spirit of Venice, this is the place to find it.

Tucked away in the picturesque streets of Venice, Trattoria da Rino offers a delightful taste of Italian cuisine. On my visit, I enjoyed their Diavola Pizza and Seafood Tagliatelle, a perfect pairing that showcased the essence of Venetian flavors. The pizza was a classic done right. Its thin, wood-fired crust was charred to perfection, offering a delightful crunch with every bite. The tomato sauce was fresh and tangy, the mozzarella creamy and gooey, and the basil added a fragrant touch that elevated the entire dish. The Seafood Tagliatelle, however, stole the show. My wife loved every bit of it! It was a medley of the sea’s finest tender mussels, succulent shrimp, sweet clams, and perfectly cooked squid. The pasta was al dente, tossed in a light, garlicky white wine sauce that allowed the seafood’s natural flavors to shine. A sprinkle of fresh parsley and a hint of chili added just the right kick to this beautiful plate. And some limoncello shot to complete the meal! 🥰 Grazie mille!

So this is our first time in Venice and our first day. We were getting hungry and saw this beautiful restaurant down an alley. As we looked in the window it looked like home! As we entered we were welcomed by Arnold and immediately we knew we had found the right place (we looked at multiple places before and none looked like they’d be right). The attention to service, food, and friendliness is perfect, then the food comes!!!! The fresh home bread, the pasta, the pizza, and the other items we saw that others got ALL looked so good! Our food was so delicious and I am ready to ask if Trattoria da Rino can come open a restaurant in Georgia! If you are in Venice, you must stop by!!! When you stop by tell Arnold we said hello!

Listen to all of the poor reviews and DO NOT eat here!!!!! They are the biggest tourist trap ever!

They will try to find any way to charge you- there’s a cover charge for €3 each (according to other reviews, twice this amount in high season!!) that we were not made aware of and which was not indicated anywhere outside or inside the restaurant.

Also, the server asked us which side we wanted with our meal so we assumed it came with a side- nope. They tacked on an extra €15. I had noticed the servers eyeing us and talking/chuckling quietly to each other and thought it was strange (enough to even text my bf that it made me uncomfortable), and now I get why.

On top of all of that, the food was extremely mediocre. I hate giving bad reviews but after leaving this place we felt robbed. Do not waste your time here!!!! It was an awful way to end our last day...
