Initially, my husband and I chose this restaurant to enjoy some oysters with a glass of wine. However, the restaurant’s policy requires ordering at least two dishes per person. We decided to stay—and it turned out to be an excellent decision! The appetizers exceeded all expectations. “The crudo” was particularly impressive—a remarkably refined take on familiar ingredients that everyone should try. The oysters were also outstanding, although only No. 2 was available, while I prefer the smaller No. 3. The service was impeccable! The young and professional waiters were knowledgeable and attentive, pairing the perfect wine with our oysters—special thanks for that. The main courses were a true culinary delight. Both the pasta and the fish were flawlessly prepared, showcasing exceptional quality and attention to detail. While the evening was almost perfect, the final note—the dessert—slightly disrupted the balance. Following our waiter’s enthusiastic recommendation, we decided to try it. Although the dessert was exquisite, it felt a bit excessive after such a satisfying meal. Perhaps enjoying it an hour later would have been a better choice. La delusione arriva alla fine. Abbiamo riservato due posti in quanto ci era stato consigliato come miglior ristorante di pesce. Arrivavamo da un'esperienza meravigliosa vissuta in un ristorante con tanto di stelle Michelin di Ferrara, per cui le aspettative era alte. Primo sguardo ai prezzi, esageratamente alti, ma forse perché siamo a Verona.. Dopo varie consultazioni con lo chef, ribadiamo tra i vari ordini come secondo la rana pescatrice, nominata più volte. Iniziano ad arrivare le portate e già ci stupiamo dell'esiguità di delle porzioni, ma qualità certamente alta. Quando si preparano per far arrivare il secondo la cameriera chiede "per chi sarà il dentice“? Noi le rispondiamo di non aver ordinato alcun dentice e lei risponde" ah si si certo scusate mi sono confusa“. Bene. Arriva questa tanto desiderata rana pescatrice, e lì per lì non ci rendiamo conto dell'errore, anche se il piatto non ero per niente degno di nota, anzi al quanto deludente. Finiamo la nostra cena e osservando lo scontrino, ci rendiamo conto che effettivamente ci avevano portato il secondo a base di dentice, non quello che avevamo ordinato noi. Il mio ragazzo, con davvero molta umiltà, va a pagare e sottolinea l'errore allo chef, che, stra pieno di sé e con tutta la sua spavalderia, nega assolutamente di aver sbagliato, afferma che noi avevamo parlato di dentice,, e che lui non poteva aver sbagliato. Eh si, la delusione arriva proprio qui, perché innanzitutto c'è modo e modo di rispondere, seconda cosa non avremmo replicato nulla, volevamo solo far presente l'errore, che era palesemente solo stato loro, e lui, al posto di accettare di aver sbagliato, o quanto meno chiedere scusa per l'incomprensione, ci tratta da rincoglioniti, e non si degna di una scusa. La delusione arriva proprio qui! Perché nessuno voleva accusare o protestare, ma mostrare l'errore ci sembrava giusto, e chiedere di quanto meno scusa, o dispiacersi, sarebbe stato il minimo.
