Yalla Amigo — Restaurant in Verona

We stopped here as a family for takeaway lunch today - what a great find! We had pittas and piadana wraps with falafel or chicken and the staff were really good with helping us choose salad & sauces etc. to add to each one. We added fries on the side too.

The food was fantastic - really good falafel and proper shawarma chicken. Good portions and not expensive. Seasoned fries were really nice - in all honesty we probably didn't need them because the portion sizes were good!

Highly recommended. Helpful and friendly staff (multilingual - served us in perfect English), great food and only a few minutes walk from the Arena.

Delicious shawarma and honest, respectful service! We ordered several chicken shawarmas and water—amazing taste, super fresh! There was a small billing mistake, but when I returned with my payment proof, the staff handled it very professionally and kindly refunded the difference without hesitation. It really showed their honesty and care for customers. Also, as someone who stands with Palestine, I deeply appreciate and support local businesses that represent the Palestinian community with pride and integrity. Ho avuto un'esperienza davvero deludente in questo posto. Mi sono sentita ingannata dalle numerose recensioni positive, ma non lasciatevi ingannare come me. Sembra che tutte quelle recensioni siano il frutto di un sistema di incentivi, dove in cambio di una recensione positiva ti viene offerto un dolce gratuito. Questo è chiaramente un tentativo di marketing per spingere le persone a comprare, piuttosto che un vero riscontro sulla qualità del cibo.

Parlando del cibo, è stato veramente sotto le aspettative. La shawarma di pollo era praticamente immangiabile, con spezie mescolate in modo casuale e una consistenza che sembrava più pollo crudo che cotto.

Inoltre, è importante sottolineare che questo è solo un take-away. Non ci sono sedie, né bagni o un lavandino dove lavarsi le mani. È un dettaglio che avrei voluto sapere in anticipo.

Nonostante il posto accetti pagamenti con POS, la mia carta non poteva essere utilizzata in modalità contactless e doveva essere inserita manualmente. La cosa più sorprendente è stata che la ragazza alla cassa sembrava completamente inesperta e non sapeva nemmeno come attivare il POS per permettere l'inserimento manuale della carta. Dopo alcuni tentativi falliti, ho finito per dover pagare in contanti.

Capisco che possano essere un'attività nuova e che ci possano essere delle difficoltà iniziali, ma è fondamentale formarsi adeguatamente prima di entrare nel mercato.

In conclusione, la mia esperienza è stata pessima e non ho intenzione di tornarci. Non posso assolutamente consigliare questo...
