We were told the only tables available were outside which we were okay with. We sat at the patio were there are 4 tables with only one table taken at the time. We ordered our drinks and mine arrived quite quickly but my wife's did not. The other two tables then had people seated and the table that was already taken left and another couple were seated here. All of these tables had their food and drink orders taken before our food order was taken and I even had to ask could they bring us my wife's drink. Still we waited for another 15 minutes to order, even after telling the member of staff who brought my wife's drink out that we were ready to order. By the time our order was taken, all three tables who were sat after us had gotten their food. Our pizzas arrived and we did really enjoy these but again from that point no one paid us any attention so we didn't manage to order any more drinks and if there had of been any issues with the food they didn't seem to care. When I went inside to pay the bill they just typed a price into the card machine and gave it to me but I asked for a receipt and I'm glad I did. They gave me a bill for another table which was twice as much as ours. I pointed this out and they continued to do the same thing and I again had to ask for a receipt to check it. This one was correct but had an extra charge. I asked them if it was service could they take it off as the service was terrible but they argued that €2 must be paid per person and got the menu out to show that it is mentioned on this. They went on to say that this was a cost for using cutlery and glasses etc. I therefore paid the bill but again told them the service we received was not good but they did not...
Read moreI had this place on my list for weeks before we finally made it. The pizza was huge, delicious and easy to digest. The server refused to replace cooked ham for raw prosciutto on the mushroom pizza so no big deal I chose another, the Marita. Good choice for sure. I see what people say about it not being actual Neapolitan pizza as the perimeter crust is not as airy as I expected but according to pizzauniversity.org apparently it is. Whatever, it’s delicious and the fresh tomato sauce is superb. The one strange event that reduced my rating is the I guess condescending attitude of the waitress and the fact she was willing to serve us with a plate with a large chip out of it. There is no way she missed it, you can see some of it in the photo I have attached. I’ve seen chipped dinnerware before but the server always quickly removes it and apologizes. It was so strange and turned our conversation (and this review) towards it instead of the food. And it’s not as if it was busy at the time. It kind of makes you wonder how much care and pride is involved if that’s the bar you’re meeting. Anyway that made us uncomfortable, but the...

But there's a small catch...
First the positive: the pizza is authentic and is as we recall from our trip to Naples. There's a beautiful char on the pizza, the sauce is well balanced and the dough is light and tasty. Service is good and tourist friendly which is contrary to the service we got in the south. I would stick to the Margherita as it truly shines here.
Now the negatives...the price is double of that in the Naples location. They also charge a seating/entrance fee. With that being said - it's a justifiable cost to have the convenience of having authentic neopolitan pizza in Verona. While we were seated quickly it was a very long wait from when we ordered our pizzas to when we received them (an hour) which is why we left 3 stars...
