Oblò Comfort Food — Restaurant in Verona

Our experience got progressively worse as the hours (yes, hours) went by. Three of our meals came out correctly, one was wrong, and they promised to bring the correct one—which took half an hour, shocking considering it should take about thirty seconds to throw onions, tomatoes, olives, and an egg on top of some lettuce. It took another ten minutes to get a tiny dollop of ketchup, but it didn’t help improve the fries much, which were stone cold from the moment they landed on the table. The salmon on the Oslo salad was raw, not smoked, and something seemed off about it—which was unfortunately later confirmed in visceral fashion. (It wasn’t universally bad: the egg in the club sandwich was perfectly cooked and the balsamic vinegar and olive oil for the salads were excellent.) The icing on the cake, though, was that two of us came down with food poisoning later that evening and were violently ill. I’ll spare the gory details. Wife sat down here to breastfeed our daughter Was approached and asked about having drinks here while we waited for food.

Was promptly told that she couldn’t order drinks and was not allowed to sit and breastfeed our daughter, it’s 35 degrees, either as they thought we were going to consume our food here which we had no intention of doing just ordering drinks.

So wife stood for 15 mins standing just outside the area breastfeeding our daughter rather than being allowed to sit and Oblo getting the $24 euros they had initially quoted for drinks.

Poor customer service and not supportive of breastfeeding or patron care during a heatwave when Italy is on red alert.

For clarity the Peach Tea was bought AFTER my wife was told to leave Oblo as it’s 35 degrees!! and yes she is consuming the peach tea outside the covered area as you refused to let her order any drinks or breastfeed! Oblo refused...

Instead of waffles, avo and bacon breakfast, they offer you a bread as substitute for waffles ?! Clearly don’t want to bother with making waffles! Why do you have it on the menu then ? Staff who was serving us had absolutely no customer service, quite moody and on her phone between taking orders (which are taken in the same phone). The two waitresses/baristas which were inside totally ignored me when I went to pay in to the point I had to sternly say that I want to pay despite only one person being by the bar drinking her coffee.
