I stopped by for lunch. The beverage menu is extensive; the food menu is brief, but it's focus is the drinks, so that makes sense.
I sat in the garden, drank a Spritz Tradision, which includes elderflower. It was tasty. I ordered the salad of the day without knowing what it was. Turns out it was a Caesar salad. They happened to be out of chicken at that moment, so they asked if they could substitute bresaola. That was delicious and makes me wonder why I haven't been infuriating that into my salads all along. Some of the neighboring tables had the charcuterie and cheese boards, which looked spectacular (and from the rate of consumption, tasted spectacular too.) Others were there just for a beverage.
It's a small place not to far off Piazza Bra. The garden is lovely, but if you don't like smokers, I'd advise sitting inside. The service was friendly. I recommend stopping in for food...
Read moreHoping this was a one off in comparison to other reviews. Our waiter was great upon greeting and when he explained the menu. However one of our dishes was served with 3 out of 5 prawns being raw/partly. I politely pointed it out to the waiter for his strange response to lean over and grab with his hand the fully raw prawn off the dish and walk off quickly with just a ‘sorry’. Would have been happy with sending it back for an extra 2mins of cooking. He didn’t walk by for rest of meal and had no offer of anything, could only eat the pasta and none of the contents. Went to pay and mentioned it to the same bloke when he asked if everything was okay and all he said was “I’m sorry about that that’s completely on us” and charged full price. This place is fantastic for drinks, we weren’t too pleased about food and service in the end. Lasagne...
Read moreI was very disappointed, I was hoping for something nice as everyone recommended but it wasn’t like that. First, when they took me to table, they never told me that I had to scan the QR code to see the menu (that is not a problem for me, but the QR code piece was behind something and I didn’t notice for the first 10 minutes that I was waiting for someone to bring me the menu, or tell me about the QR code). I ordered an Aperol Spritz that came fast but it tasted very watery, it was somewhat fine for 4.5€, to eat, I ordered a lasagna that took 40 minutes to arrive!! At least it came very hot but only after I told someone that I was waiting for that long, the lasagna wasn’t even that good honestly, lacked a lot of flavor. To summarize, not the best food honestly, but it wasn’t bad, and not so pleasant customer experience....
