Excellent location, mixed customer service, good facilities and good cleanliness.
Pros: Excellent bed, bedding and towels - slept really well.
Spacious (although this varies. We were in room 40 but my other family members were in other apartments which were smaller. Plenty for 2 people and baby in our room - might get crowded in the other rooms with more than 2).
Apartment is well designed and laid out, lots of storage, smart tv, magnifying mirror, small kitchen, safe, etc.
Location is excellent - right by the arena.
Customer service is mostly very good.
Apartment is modern and very comfortable.
Cons (we may have been unlucky but this is what we experienced): When we arrived the apartment was spotless except for the floor which was very dirty. The same in the other 2 apartments my family booked. Clearly had been swept but not mopped. We had a baby who was crawling on the floor and had to ask for a mop to clean it ourselves. They should have offered to do this when we reported it was dirty and was from when we arrived.
Customer service was mixed, one receptionist was nice but she left me waiting for over 5 minutes whilst she made a number of calls. The other receptionist was very nice and helpful.
Problems - Our coffee machine did not work and had to be replaced, there were no cooking utensils in our apartment (we realised we should have had them because my family members had them in their apartments), the smart tv did not work properly (didn't recognise the remote, had to keep turning off and on), there are light switches that have no function and it is not clear which switch is for what light (an issue when you have a baby asleep and you don't want to turn on the wrong light), our door stopped working with the key card and we had to get a physical key and the air conditioning did not work in the livingroom. We had so many small problems with things not working and very limited instructions are provided, we couldn't be bothered to complain about every issue with the reception as we were only staying a week. The things we did complain about were resolved so I think if you are staying longer and you have issues definitely tell them. I was just a little disappointed to have so many little problems.
We were charged 10 euros per day to have a cot for our baby which we thought was fair as we were not being charged an extra person which is more expensive. The cot however is a cheap plastic travel cot with a thin plastic mattress. I have a similar one which cost no more than 40 euros. For 10 euros a day I expected a proper solid cot and a proper cot mattress, we could have gone to aldi and bought the same cot they gave us for less than the hire!
They charge 15 euros for more coffee capsules and tell you they are the only ones that fit. You can get some for 2-3 euros for the supermarket and they worked fine.
I would recommend this place to people after a central location. We had, at times, a crying baby and my family said she could be heard very loudly in their apartments so personally I would not stay there again because most the issues I had were because I have a baby and would probably not have bothered me otherwise. I think it's a perfect place for a couple on a city break and would strongly recommend it for them. If I get a babysitter I...
ย ย ย Read moreReally nice suites and an amazing location. Amenities were great except for the pillows which were hard and lumpy and resulted in bad sleep, unfortunately. The service was mixed. Most of the people working behind the reception were really helpful and nice, however, I encountered an issue with one. Although I understand that they do not clean daily as per their policy, we were there on a longer stay and so they offered to clean it twice over the duration of the stay. However, the second time one of the receptionists refused to get it cleaned although it was agreed upon. She argued with me and refused to do it although one of the other receptionists had even noted it down in her calendar. I did not appreciate that and it ruined an overall nice stay. So if you go for a longer stay, make sure you clarify that with each and every person...
ย ย ย Read morePros Great location, quiet but close to all sites. Check-in easy (we were early) and staff nice, helpful, very friendly. Our room was top floor so had great wrap around balcony. Bed comfy, clean room. Must see city view from Castel San Pietro. Cons None. We walked from the train station, only 15-20 minutes but would take bus/taxi next time. We only had backpacks though.
IMHO, I would not visit Italy in the summer, crowds, heat and high prices. We (from Savannah) visited last 2 weeks of October (Venice, Verona, Cinque Terre, Florence), weather was perfect, 65/75 degrees and crowds were minimal to none. We did a mix of Airbnbโs and 2 hotels, so could travel with just backpacks, washing clothes often. So many stairs, boatsโฆ..just makes travel easier and not checking luggage. If stairs are not your โthingโ avoid...
