Corte Farina Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Verona

We visited Corte Farina Ristorante Pizzeria after it was recommended for its gluten-free options, as both my son and I are celiac. While it's appreciated that they offer a gluten-free menu, our experience left us a bit underwhelmed. My son ordered a gluten-free pizza, but unfortunately found the base very doughy and not to his taste. I had the gluten-free carbonara, which wasn’t made with fresh pasta and was heavily over-seasoned—so salty that it was difficult to finish.

Service was also quite slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy at the time. While the location and ambiance are nice, and it's good to see gluten-free options available, we’ve had better experiences elsewhere in Verona. If you're celiac and looking for GF-friendly dining, there may be more satisfying choices...

Lots of options on the menu, service was nice but a bit cold and we had some weird situations in communication with one of the waiters.

We wanted to sit at a free table and we saw him looking long at us, it was like in a staring contest, us standing, he looking without saying anything. And then we asked if the table is free, he said something like “if you ask”. I saw afterwards that Italians usually ask and chat with the waiter before taking a table, so it may not have been nice that we went directly to the table, but we didn’t do it on purpose. On the other hand, we had a much nicer and very helpful waiter afterwards :)

As a place, It’s very relaxing that is not in the middle of the crowds. We had pizza, which was quite good and in a big portion and the latte...

Having walked past this restaurant for 18 months without stopping (for no apparent reason!) I spotted a frosty looking beer, and was immediately drawn in! Am I glad I did. What a revelation! Truly a not so hidden gem. Superb fresh quality food, served with a smile in a wonderful quiet outdoor location. The beer served was exceptionally cold, and fresh direct from the tap, the two meals we ate were again fresh, and both superb quality, and tasty. Having settled in nicely and having had a couple of drinks each along with a light meal, we were more than pleasantly surprised with the bill at the end. Superb value.
