Ristorante Flora — Restaurant in Verona

I never leave Google reviews, but I feel genuinely compelled to write one after what was easily the most bizarre dining experience I’ve ever had.

We were looking for a vegan restaurant in Verona, and this place stood out—it looked lovely, with a great concept: locally sourced, organic, gluten-free (not important to me, but fine), and fully vegan. So we decided to give it a try.

I ordered the ravioli, and honestly, I was shocked. It tasted undercooked, the sauce was bland, and there was barely any seasoning—it just felt completely unbalanced and flavorless.

But what really pushed the experience into surreal territory was the music. They were playing a one-minute cover of Every Breath You Take—just that same short version—on repeat. Over and over. For the entire meal. After a while, I had to go find someone and ask if they could please change the music because it felt like I was being tortured. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

I thought the waiter was very nice actually he seemed a bit embarrassed when I asked about the music but the hostess in front for refused to make eye contact after I made this comment.

To be fair they did include a free small appetizer of fennel and Apple, my girlfriend liked it so she ate mine.

Superlativo il servizio, mi son piaciute in particolare i meat ball. Avevo chiamato per assicurarmi che avrebbero potuto servirmi in tempo per lo spettacolo dell'Opera e devo dire che sono stati puntualissimi senza compromettere il gusto di ciascun piatto. Ambiente luminoso e spazioso. Bravissimi e continuate così, nella speranza che in futuro avrete dei dessert non al cioccolato (ahimé non ne sono un'amante)

Loved this place, great service, beautiful presentation and quiet atmosphere. I came as a pre-dinner before the Opera, asking them to ensure that I would be able to leave by 20:00 with the show starting at 21:00. They delivered. F&B: everything is well prepared, with great attention to the presentation as well as informing us of what might require more time. Serving a range of raw bites as well as cooked everything was seasonal. Ambience: good spacing between the tables, the entire restaurant is well lit with a relaxed mood and some skylights. I went to this restaurant with two of my cousins. The restaurant itself looks nice and upmarket. It seemed to attract a trendy crowd. We didn’t have a reservation but they were quick to accommodate us. Took about 10 minutes before someone gave us some menus. We understood since they were busy and we didn’t have a reservation.

This restaurant is very expensive. Just a main will set you back at least 14 euros. And a three course meal between 30 and 40 euros per person. They also have a tasting menu which is pricey.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant.

1-they took very long to get our food to us. We waited almost an hour for our food. 2-the food was so expensive and the portion was absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a burger and got a deconstructed burger without the bun. 3-they have a cover charge of 2.50 for every person at the table.
