SUNNY — Restaurant in Beppu

What a great find!

We passed by on foot and were immediately drawn to the tasteful decor. After scanning the menu (written understandably in Japanese) we decided to investigate further and ventured indoors wherein we could consult with the staff and chef as to their vegan options.

Luckily we carry with us a printed card explaining our dietary and ethical requirements written in both Japanese kanji and English.

The staff and chef were very responsive and accommodating, whipping us out a delicious seasonal salad and a tomato based pasta. In fact the pasta was to such a high standard that I'd challenge even an Italian chef to replicate it!

We had a brew coffee by Kame coffee roasters to finish off our lunch in style.

This is a treasure. The food is absolutely delicious, the service exquisite and friendly, and the decor cosy and relaxing. Six of us ate a dinner there tonight, every element of which was outstanding, But we were not chivvied on. We had great conversations and could hear each other speak, even though great music was playing throughout. I couldn’t recommend...

つかサニーさんの料理は何を頼んでも安定の旨さだし野菜もタップリ彩りも美しく何よりも科学の調の味料食べると喉が枯渇する繊細wな八百屋んおいさんとしては無化調なのがありがたい♪(ケンさん曰く料理人なら当たり前じゃそうだけどそうでもないんですよ…)

サニーさんお昼は予約出来ないけど夜は予約が出来るけん旨いもん食べたい仲間とワイワイ呑みたいっち方はオススメやし場所柄お酒呑むには難易度高い場所にあるけど人数集まればタクシー代も優しくなるけんね♪

毎度ながらどれも何を食べても最高に旨かったですごちそうさまでしたケンさんまたきまぁーす♪
