Made a reservation a few weeks ago to have lunch here. This Unagi restaurant was less full than others. It was an 8-minute walk from Canal City facing the river.
The environment was quite bright and new with large glass windows even though my visit was on a cloudy day.
It offered different set meals of different sizes and contents. The kitchen was semi-open, while customers in the dining area could see via a large glass window how the Unagi was prepared in the kitchen.
In the menu, there were instructions to guide diners on how to enjoy the Unagi in different ways.
The staff members were pretty nice.
The Unagi was freshly charcoal-grilled, so it came with the charcoal-grilled aroma. It formed a crust, which was a little bit crunchy, and the inside was soft and tasty. Yummy.

Saw this restaurant from one of the blog post I found online and decided to make a reservation and give it a try! Did not regret a single bit.
Firstly, I was given a private room for my family of 3. Despite the language barrier, the ordering process was smooth and fast with their English menu.
Secondly, the food was so good! I would say that the pricing is quite reasonable given its quality and quantity. Unagi was soft and juicy, with a tinge of charred flavour. The tamago is sweet and juicy too!
Laslty, the view is amazing! Great place to dine at as the sun sets and see the street lights and yatai on the other end of the river getting brighter and buzz-ier.
Great place to dine at and you can head over to the yatais for more street food or the canal city for more shopping!
Ps. Toilet is super...

Price is on the steeper side. If you are not looking to take instagram photos of your food, suggest to order the normal eel in a bowl, rather than the full-eel-on display-on-a-plate set. Portion is still the same, you get the full eel anyway.
I was seated facing the kitchen, so I could see how they prepared the meals. It's cheaper by around 1000 yen if you order the bowl.
Ps: taken with my secondary phone so photo quality is...
