Stayed 2 nights and thought that it was at a very good value. I did not know this place is famous for Soba until the next day there was a long queue queueing for authentic soba. Of course i went to speak to the staff about eating later that afternoon who kindly slotted me in for a an authentic Soba sumptuous dinner that otherwise requires pre booking.||||That dinner itself is amazing and feels like i went on a gastronomy adventure with its traditional buckwheat fare. The staff carefully explained to me what was prepared, but mainly also because i kept asking what is it that i'm eating, it's surprisingly delicious.||||My room itself is a square room, you have to lay out the tatami yourself from the cupboard. It is quite comfortable as a solo traveller without all the frills. Not to mention the hosts allowed me to laundry room and i managed to clear my laundry easily. Felt like i'm almost living like a local here.||||Bathroom is shared and only available for certain hours, of course the water quality here is top notch. Hakuba itself has more than 22 public spring water bathhouses, and all part of the local culture.||||Do note that you should request for a insecticide spray from the reception, towards the summer the mosquitoes might easily find its way into the room. Otherwise it's a very pleasant stay in Hakuba and will...

Read moreHad an amazing stay here! The staff were exceptionally hospitable and always ready to help—seriously some of the friendliest people I’ve met. Location-wise, it’s super convenient, just a short walk from Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal and surrounded by great eateries.
The place itself was spotless—rooms, washrooms, and common areas were all kept super clean. Loved that they had a drying room for ski gear and an in-house onsen, which was such a treat after a long day on the slopes. You can even request a Yukata for that extra cozy, traditional touch!
If I had to nitpick, a mirror in the room would’ve been nice, but there are plenty in the washrooms, so not a big deal. Also, no toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, or shaving kit provided, but with a 24/7 LAWSON nearby, that’s an easy fix.
Overall, an awesome place to stay—great value, great location, and even better service. Would...
