The place is nice and the staff are fantastic (as is almost all of Japan). However, the food here was not good. We ordered the pork cutlet sandwich. It was an ice cold sandwich on thin bread with cabbage and and an ice cold breaded pork with a side of potato chips. It was tasteless. Luckily my wife and I planned to share, so we only bought one. It was over 1000 yen. One bite - no exaggeration - and we left. Rare to have a bad experience with food in Japan for me, as I visit frequently for work. We are lucky as it is 77 degrees and sunny today, no humidity. This place may serve as a great drink and AC location in the summer. If you want a small bite, go out of this place, face the museum. Turn right, and there is a Lawson in the building across the main road. You’ll see the blue bottle on the side of the building. Get a drink and a Nee-Ko-Ma (in all the years I’m still not sure how to spell that). It a pork meat bun. So good! Hope they have it in stock tho, it’s a roll of the dice. And prices are...
Read moreNice place for a coffee stop during a visit to the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes walk away. The interior is very beautiful, lots of light coming in through big windows. The staff are also very nice. I ordered the menu with Matcha tea and a snack for 800¥. The tea was okay but a little clumpy towards the end. The snack was very disappointing. Just a block of cream cheese, some azuki bean paste and a maple leaf shaped “waffle cone”. I was expecting Hiroshima momiji manju from the picture, so I was pretty...
Read morePaid ¥600 for a soy iced latte. They delivered me a cup half full and made by a corporate staff room coffee machine. The drink was bitter and I asked for more soy milk to fill my cup up. They had the cheek to ask me for another 50yen and proceeded to give me three drips of extra soy milk. I insisted on more and they relented and gave me more. I had to add sugar to cover the bitter taste of machine made drip coffee. I have this same machine at my office and get better coffee when I make it there. Yuck coffee and pretty...
