Cusco Bar＆Grill — Restaurant in Hiroshima

Cusco's Cafe is perfect for a downtown lunch. They have their very affordable 800 yen lunches (amazing for foreign food cooked by a native) that comes with salad/soup and unlimited drinks (juice/tea/coffee). I believe you can add a dessert for a mere 200 yen as well.

They have a wide selection of food that I think is acceptable not only for foreign tastes but also Japanese. One of my favorite dishes there that is popular in Okinawa is their taco rice. I also like the fajitas, and deluxe nachos at dinner time.

The foreign staff I believe are all multilingual in Spanish, English and Japanese which is great!

The owner is a very kind lady with a good sense of humor. The atmosphere seems interesting at first sight but it clearly is outdated in some areas. The service was good, as it was the owner taking orders - we had a good laugh with her and talked briefly about her travel to japan and opening a restaurant.

We got beef tacos and 2 pizzas. The tacos were really delicious and I actually regretted to have ordered more for take away. The pizzas were unfortunately not that tasty - they were mediocore at best.

I would visit again to try something new and this time order beef...

We ate in the non smoking section. We had garlic bread and fries, and beef quesadilla with salsa. Fries were perfection. Salsa tasted homemade, better than any restaurant salsa I've ever had. We both looked at each other shocked at how good it was. Loved the music, American music from a decade and a half ago. I was so happy. Our waiter spoke better English than anyone we met so far in Japan, which was a welcome change....
