HIROSHIMA2016 RESTAURANT UNDER THE SKY — Restaurant in Hiroshima

This is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food . The dining policies are very unclear. I’ve been to the restaurant before and was not required to have a reservation to dine there. However, recently I arrived at the restaurant with a friend, only to be turned away and told we needed reservations. I used my Google Translate app to read the signs posted at the door and none stated reservations as a requirement to dine there. I then asked the young lady who greeted us, when this policy took effect, she responded, “today”. Very disappointing but, it is what it is. BTW, the restaurant was completely empty, inside as well as on the outside...

Nice food, courteous staff and a beautiful outdoor decor (indoor is okay too). Some food, like the classic omelette rice, is very simple and plain. Other food, like the salmon, is presented like a restaurant thrice the price, but with a small serving size.

Amazing that a restaurant with modest prices is on top of such a rich shopping centre. Locals should try it, particularly when the weather is warm and you can dine in the beautiful outdoor area. Beware, menu is not entirely in English and staff don't...

料理も対応も最悪でした。『作り置きのお料理と、言い訳がましい対応のお店』です。客を客として見てない。

16時頃入店。早めだけれどお酒のおつまみとディナーを頂くつもりでした。

ランチメニューしかないことも席に着くまで案内がなく、単品料理は一切なし。客の様子や要望を伺う姿勢や能力は非常に乏しい。

こちらの要望を伝えるも、店の都合を押し付けるのみ。仕方なくランチコースをオーダー。ウェイトレスは面倒臭そうに対応。客への言葉遣いを一切知らない感じ。

前菜のお料理は、見映えだけで味は特になし。カジキの生ハム仕立ては東京の他店やビジネスクラスの機内食ではお馴染みなだけに、このお店で食べる味は格別に劣っていたと思う。egg salad をトマトに載せたものは、玉子の臭みが際立った。作りおきバレバレ。

冷たいスープは、はっきり言って不味い。コースの一部にするには甘すぎる。

パン皿の置き方もちゃらんぽらん。何も期待できない。バターもオイルもない。

お皿の下げ方、出し方も、ひどい。一度触った皿も置きっぱなし。出すものをきちんとテーブルに置かない。

メインは給仕の際に特に説明もなく、料理は最悪の品質とお味。お肉はジャーキーの出来損ないかのようなカピカピでパサパサ。ウェイトレスを呼んで、これはこういう料理なのかと問いかけるも、「あ、加熱のしすぎですね」と一言。詫びの言葉もないので、どういうことかと聞くと「調理長が確認してそう言ってるので」と。調理長が実際に見てもいないのにどういう判断なのか？ その指摘の後にやっと調理長が来て「あ、豚肉なんで」って。豚肉でもしっとりした仕上がりのお料理もあるけど、もうね一度完全に作り置きしていたものの再加熱ミスでしょって言いたかったけどぐっと呑み込んで料理を下げてもらいました。付け合わせのお野菜も乾燥してカピカピ。

最初に詫びの言葉もなく、言い訳と口答えと屁理屈の羅列に辟易しました。思い余って、その口調はどうなのかと問いただすも、「私はいつもこうですから」と見事に開き直り。客をバカにするのもいい加減にしてほしい 。料理も対応も最悪でした。『作り置きのお料理と、言い訳がましい対応のお店』です。客を客として見てない。
