My husband and I stumbled upon a hidden gem right by our hotel, and what a delightful discovery it was! We were there to celebrate my birthday, hoping for exquisite food and a serene atmosphere. As soon as we stepped in, the warm welcome from our server set the tone for the evening. The restaurant was bustling, yet somehow maintained a surprising hush that allowed for intimate conversations.
The service felt like a beautifully choreographed dance; our server effortlessly attended to all the tables, answering our questions with a friendly smile and genuine enthusiasm.
Now, let’s talk about the food—it surpassed all our expectations! Each dish was crafted with high-quality, fresh ingredients that delighted our palates. We were encouraged to savor each bite, and the staff never rushed us, which only enhanced our enjoyment.
This birthday celebration turned out to be everything I had wished for. The highlight of the night came when the Chef himself made a special appearance to thank us for dining with them. I shared that it was my birthday, and both he and the server surprised me with a round of applause!
We left with full hearts—and stomachs—already planning our next visit to Hiroshima. This was a birthday wish come true, and I can’t thank the Chef and his wonderful assistant enough for making it so...
Read moreWe arrived in Hiroshima after being in Japan for 2 weeks and decided we wanted Italian food for dinner so we just searched the area we were staying in. il Grado came up and we actually walked past it twice as it was still light out and did not look up to see the lights of the restaurant. This was a Saturday evening around 6. We had no reservations but they staff welcomed us in right away. The place was about 3/4 full. We were in no hurry and spent about 2 1/2 hours there. We had appetizers, main course and desert. The food was all fantastic, you could taste the fact that the ingredients were all top quality. This meal would have been twice the price in Vancouver where we live. Highly recommend...
Read more6 out of 5! My husband came here on the 24 November and they were very excited to see a blonde hair guy eating lunch by himself! He made friends with the two staff and we came back again for dinner on Sat. The Arabbiatta pasta was so good and the wine as well. They gave us a little bit more wine as service and the chef gave us his very own mousse as service too! I wish I took photos with the two staff but forgot. We didn't have a booking but luckily they had a spare space at the counter so if you want to come here you should book. Will definitely visit you again, the next time we visit Hiroshima. Thankyou for your kindness, we will...
