We saw this restaurant in the listing at our hotel near Peace Park and figured we would give it a try. The taxi dropped us off at the street and we found it hidden down a hallway of a larger building with several other establishments. As soon as we entered we could tell we were in for a treat with the charming atmosphere with piano music playing in the background.
The waiter brought the fresh cut of A5 Wagyu and recommended a particular set he thought we would like...and he was absolutely correct. The cook did an amazing job giving a small sear on the outside before applying the very few spices needed before applying the flame sear. Once plated and brought to the table with the toppings and dip, we couldn't wait to try it! Let me just say, THIS WAS THE BEST STEAK WE BOTH HAVE EVER HAD! We booked in here as we were told by others they sold Kobe beef it turns out they do not and while we were disappointed once the food started coming the disappointment quickly disappeared.
We had the set menu with 100g of beef (Hiroshima beef) and yes, like others who have reviewed, I can confirm their beef is magnificent either tender loin or Wagyu 8.5.
The pre main starters, other courses and desert were also wonderful. Prawn shell chips were different but tasty.
Very fair pricing for quality and quantity provided.
A little hard to find if you cannot read Japanese but google maps from their website got us very close and a local did the rest with my best sumimasen, Mononoki doka des ka?
Highly recommended, only seats 20 so booking...

Delightful experience at great value… the best kintan (of five) that I’ve been to.
The staff were kind and attentive, speaking enough English that communication was not a challenge. The food preparation ‘performance’ was fun to watch, presentation was beautiful, and every part of the meal was delicious- especially for the price. Wine list was appropriate for a classy steak restaurant, and also very reasonable.
Party of 4: four wagyu steaks and three bottles of wine for ~ 65k JPY. Card or cash accepted. No drinking without ordering food, and wagyu is the only steak on the menu (tenderloin and sirloin). Recommend reserving ahead of time.
Thanks for...
