Rihga Top — Restaurant in Hiroshima

We were, unfortunately, left rather disappointed after our visit to Rihga Top, which is located on the 33rd floor of Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima.

The staff were nice here and the view was quite good. What brought the experience down for us was the food. We ordered one dish each, and it was definitely not enough to get full. That might be expected of a French restaurant. However, my dish, which was local oysters, tasted like sand, and I only got a very, very small handful of oysters, nothing more. I tried oysters in other places in Hiroshima, and they were amazing, juicy, and full of flavour. The ones at Rihga Top did indeed taste very different.

My friends ordered dishes that had slightly larger portions, but they tasted more like fast food than something you might find in a top floor French restaurant of a 4-star hotel.

We used vouchers that gave us a 20% discount, but it ended up not accounting for much since a service charge was added.

In conclusion, I recommend avoiding the food in this restaurant, and possibly avoiding it altogether unless you just grab a drink and enjoy...

Beautiful restaurant, the view is incredible. The service was terrible, we were there for 2 hours and only managed to get served 1 drink each. The food was disappointing. Portions are absolutely tiny, if you're planning to eat here after a long day and want something substantial, it's a no go. My partner ordered a "steak", expensive dish, what came out looked like oven chips and a burger. It definitely wasn't steak, just minced meat and didn't come out until 15 minutes or so after all the other dishes.

Fish and chips were tiny, about 10 chips. The salad was nice, but the only vegetarian option, literally just leaves and shredded radish.

Cocktails were alright though, I'd recommend going here for a drink or a two to enjoy the views, the food is pointless, eat elsewhere. We were lucky to have made a reservation also, the website said it was the last 4 seats available, there was hardly anyone else in there and there were people forced to wait outside for a seat, with about 15 tables empty/free.

Whisky choices are good, but £7.50 for a Jack Daniels is laughable,...

My husband and I are staying at the Righa Royal Hotel in Hiroshima for a few nights, so we decided to go to this restaurant because it is in the hotel and we liked what they had on the menu. We started by ordering 2 drinks, which were good, we also ordered our food and when it arrived we were shocked by how came out. We ordered a steak dish and pizza as entrees as well as an assortment of sausages as an appetizer. The steak came out first, only the potatoes were warm. Next the pizza arrived 10-15 min later after the steak dish was completely eaten and that was also cold. The sausage appetizer then came out last and was also ice cold.
