It was a fantastic and unique teppanyaki experience! As a couple visiting Japan for the first time, we spent our only evening in Hiroshima at Dontoko. I chose this place based on expat reviews I found while browsing Google Maps. Another reason was that I don’t eat pork, and aside from okonomiyaki, I hardly saw any pork on the menu.

He consulted the chef who then told him to tell us no. They were only serving three people that day... what a load of rubbish, particularly after we were offered a table which, after we asked again, was no longer available at that point in time. Waste of time going here and a bad experience and very disappointing. We spent our money elsewhere. I write good and bad reviews on places but this ranks with one of the very worst lasting...

We ordered the set meal Hiroshima Special with soup, appetizers,, entrees and dessert. The food and the presentation were fabulous. Every course was delightful. The wagyu beef was done perfectly and melted in your mouth.
