Hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. Good room size per standard in Japan. ||However, I would definitely look for another hotel for my next visit to Hiroshima because of the following||1. central heating (warm air only, my visit on 01-Dec for 4 nights) even when temperature of air conditioner panel was set to their minimum 18 degree Celsius. The room became extremely hot and stuffy especially no window could be opened. Their staff was helpful and responded quickly to my request of a cooling fan but the ventilation was still not satisfactory. |2. window could not be opened. hotel explained in writing this was due to safety reason which I found difficult to comprehend. It just made the room stuffy and hot|3. smell of cigarettes in my non-smoking room (same for my friend’s room who was just next door). I told the reception who arranged another round of cleaning the following morning and smell of cigarette mostly gone. I hope such cleaning was done before my check-in|4. No shower cap, so pls...
Read moreLocation: bus 26 from/to Hiroshoma station stops approx. 50m from the hotel, walking distance (ca. 15min) to Peace Memorial and A-Bomb Dome, shopping area right behind hotel Facility: a bit used and does not look inviting to me, however a plus is the lounge accessible between 15:00 and 23:00 with complementary coffee (hot and cold) and an assortment of Twining tea, no bottled water is provided in the room though, I had a single room that was quite spacious for the Japanese business hotel standard, the room was very warm and the air conditioning needed a while to cool it down a bit, the fridge was not cleaned (a bit sticky), I used a tissue to cover the remote control as it was not cleaned fir quite a while, the elevator stops at the 2nd floor, front desk, every time (not sure how this is supposed to improve security) Staff: I suppose that this hotel targets local customer as the staff speaks very little English Conclusion: if you can deal with the bare minimum of a business hotel, this hotel might...
Read moreWe spent 3 nights here and had a very good experience. The room had everything we needed, fridge, hair dryer,.. comfy beds and they were able to get us a couple extra pillows which is very helpful for me. The staff at the reception area were very helpful with train info and shipping our suitcase on to the next hotel. (Our pocket WiFi was delivered to this hotel too, which made our initial airport adventure much easier.)||||This hotel is about 40 minutes from the airport, but is centrally located. We walked to everything,.. the entire Peace Memorial Park and Hiroshima Castle. Also walked to the dock and took the ferry over to Mijajima Island. I recommend this hotel, good value and good accommodations. ||||Also, there is a western style cafe nearby if you feel the need for eggs and toast.||Down the block we had Okonomiyaki for dinner- a MUST HAVE! Signature dish of Hiroshima. No other city made it...
