Kani Doraku — Restaurant in Hiroshima

Ridiculously good crab. We tried just about everything! The best might have been the crab sashimi. It was wonderfully soft, smooth, and sweet. However, the kani shabu was also really special. A hot pot of clear crab broth is brought to a boil at he table. You add vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, etc, then dip long pieces of crab leg meat into the pot for ~30 seconds and eat it. Visited in late 2023. Crab specialist restaurant. We had the course meal and sampled crab in various ways. Hits were the grilled and shabu shabu crab which was later turned into porridge. Misses were the raw crabs (not a fan of the raw texture) and western style dishes.

Services was great and all tables seem to be private rooms....

First time in Hiroshima and family really wanted kyouka ( crab). So we went here and it was the best choice. The service was in style and everyone was beyond nice. Everything was perfect for the adults and kids. I would recommend this...
