Bentendo Tea House — Restaurant in Kamakura

After climbing the stairs and admiring the national treasure "Oogane", we entered the tea house to warm up and dry off. We ordered amazake, it was delicious! I found it wasn't worth it to go here. The good points are the view and the little souvenir shop. However, if you're going to enjoy good matcha and sweets, you should go elsewhere.

It is about 750 yen for 2 tiny candies and a laughable amount of matcha. When you have matcha it is supposed to be in low amounts but this is the lowest I've seen. Unfortunately, with the price and the trek up the many stairs it takes to get there, I just don't think...

They serve an amazing Yuzu Tea (cold or warm and both delicious) and if you're lucky you can see Mount Fuji from the terrace.
