I love this place. Travelling from Tokyo, Kita kamakura is the best stop. Tranquil and serene. This café is gorgeous and cozy in every season. The staff are warm and the old wood of the building creates a beautiful atmosphere. It sits very much in between two special shrines if Engaku Ji and Tokeiji. Visited this quaint cafe after an easy walk around the neighborhood. They require you to order before taking a seat. You can pay in cash or credit which is useful for someone who doesn’t carry cash around. 北鎌倉駅から徒歩3分ほど。観光客のにぎわいを少しだけ離れた場所にある「狸穴カフェ（まみあなカフェ）」は、築70年以上の古民家を活かした落ち着きのあるカフェ。まるで誰かの家に招かれたような、不思議と安心できる雰囲気が漂う空間です( ´∀｀)

門をくぐり、1階で注文してから2階へ上がるスタイル。店内は天井が高く、古材の梁や木のぬくもりがしっかり残された和モダンな造り。アンティーク家具や植物が絶妙なバランスで配置されていて、どの席に座っても絵になります♪

この日は数量限定のビーフシチューと、季節限定の紫陽花クリームソーダを注文。

● ビーフシチュー（ブルゴーニュ風） 赤ワインをしっかり使ったコク深い味わいで、牛肉はスプーンでもほぐれるほどホロホロ。デミグラス系の濃厚さというよりは、ワインの酸味と旨みを生かした大人っぽい仕上がり。ごろっと入った野菜も丁寧に火が通っていて、しっかり満足感のある一皿でした。見た目も美しく、器との調和も素敵で、ゆっくり味わいたくなるビーフシチューです。
