We stumbled upon this amazing izakaya during our short stay in Kamakura. Kero-san was the one in charge and even though our Japanese was rudimentary, he gave so much effort to talk to us by matching our pace and vocabulary. We are so appreciative of him and is the main reason we loved our time here! Plus, the food is so good! I am not ashamed to admit I ordered four of each stick and had quite a lot of beers. I am definitely going back to Kamakura just so I can visit this Izakaya again and talk to Kero-san with hopefully more fluency...

Almost opposite where we were staying at the Kakiya Ryokan near Kamakura, this small yakitori in Koshigoe has a big heart and certainly lived up to previous reviews. We were drinking and eating so much and they invited us to another bar and his wife (im sorry i didn't catch her name) ended up paying for our drinks like??? How does that work??? Why are they so niceeee. I'm baffled by the genorosity. Koshigoe is instantly my best experience here.
I'll be sure to pay it back someday and visit Koshigoe sometime again when I came back to Japan. Definitely highlight...
