I will give my honest and generous review. I've been living in Kamakura for three years and I always wanted to try this place. The place is amazing, there is this sort of two counters which make it unique!
The main counter was all reserved for regulars, maybe they did a reservation.
The staff (bartender and waitress) were exclusively focus on the regular customers, without even talking to me ( I can also speak japanese)
I asked to make some original cocktail and I was told that they don't do anything original, I asked them to make omakase cocktail and they made me a margarita (using El cuervo tequila, cheap stuff) and a whiskey sour, two of the first five cocktails that a bartender learn how to make in is first week of work!
I had to pay 500 yen of table charge for recieve an oshibori only, not even a glass of water...
Lastly, the regulars were smoking sigarettes non stop!
What can I say... Tipical bar in Japan that the only things that they can do are highballs, beers and wine (not...

Just one other client, the smoker, sitting with his back to me wearing a fedora at the bar. I never saw his face... Service was impeccable but I was give very clear instruction that there was no "Nihonshu" (Japanese drinks) available when I mistakenly asked for Shouchu. I ordered a gin and tonic and Japanese olives, both delicious. Later another client came in, who knew the staff and was a little surprised to see me but the atmosphere was very welcoming. Not cheap (there's a cover fee of ¥500) but classy. American style bar in an antique and...

We had two incredibly hand crafted cocktails each, both with Japanese spirits and seasonal juice. Along with the most incrediblly delicious, made-in-house chocolate. The smoking wasn't as bad as described, our clothes were fine to wear again the next day. The only bad portion was the group of Americans tourists that refused to lower the volume of their conversation despite the quietness of the other customers. Otherwise, this is a delightful spot and we'll be...
