DONQ Kanazawa Station — Restaurant in Kanazawa

This place was just okay. We got two iced café lattes, two different sandwiches, and a doughnut. The lattes were fine I ended up adding some of the sweetener they have out, which made mine better for me.

One sandwich had bread that was way too hard and almost hurt to bite into. It tasted fine otherwise, just very heavy on what I’m pretty sure was cream cheese. The other sandwich had great bread and good ingredients, but it was loaded with a mustard sauce (at least I think that’s what it was) that overpowered all the other flavors.

The doughnut was good though just a little messy, but that’s to be expected with that kind of doughnut.

Overall, I’d say it could maybe be worth stopping in for the pastries, but the sandwiches weren’t really our favorite even though they looked really good. Personally I won’t be...

The staff was extremely rude: one of the staff member, doubting that we payed for our meal (he had NO reason to think that) came to our table, took the food from my hands while I was eating, and started talking in a very bad English, screaming insults and being absolutely disrespectful. When we showed him the receipt he didn’t even try to apologize for his behavior, he kept using a very rude tone and took my plate anyway, leaving me just the muffin I had in my hands. Ten minutes later another staff member came and asked us to order one drink per person or we had to leave, telling us that it was a policy of the restaurant, but in fact it was not written and they didn’t tell us when we payed before. it was absurd and ridiculous, don’t even bother to go there, it’s not that good and for sure...

We were there as a family if 3. The pastries and coffee were of reasonable quality however after less than 5 minutes at the table, while we were all still eating and/or drinking, we were stood over by a staff member as our daughter did not order a drink. She was eating her pastry, we had pastries and coffee. He stood there repeatedly pointing to her and the sign. Really?
