From the moment we arrived at Hotel Kagaya, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of unparalleled hospitality that truly set the tone for an extraordinary stay. The staff demonstrated an incredible level of attentiveness and genuine care, anticipating our needs with a grace that made us feel deeply valued and secure. Every interaction, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful farewell, was executed with such precision and a sincere smile, leaving a lasting impression of exceptional service. Our room was not just spacious and impeccably clean, but also offered a breathtaking view of Nanao Bay, transforming our mornings into serene moments of contemplation. The food experience was a culinary journey in itself; both dinner and breakfast showcased exquisite local ingredients, meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, satisfying every palate. Indulging in the expansive onsen was the perfect way to unwind, offering a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience. This holistic approach to guest satisfaction, where every detail is considered, truly elevates Hotel Kagaya beyond mere accommodation. It is a place where comfort, culinary excellence, and heartfelt hospitality converge to create an unforgettable memory. We are already planning our next visit to relive this...

One of the few restaurants that still serves Jibuni (Kanazawa-style stewed duck) and Kaga Yasai Tempura, both of which are Kanazawa specialties. These dishes are offered as a set, accompanied by rice, miso soup, chawanmushi, and pickles.

Jibuni consists of duck meat, vegetables, gluten cakes, and wasabi. The flavors are authentic and unlike anything we've found elsewhere, especially the jibuni. It is recommended to mix everything together when eating, but for the wasabi, we suggest adding it little by little, as its strong flavor can overpower the dish.

The tempura is quite unique, featuring vegetables such as lotus root and eggplant.

The restaurant is relatively easy to find, located inside Kanazawa Station, and can be reached by following directions on Google Maps. However, the prices are very high, considering this is a casual dining restaurant.

One unforgettable aspect is the exceptional service, where the staff gracefully serve the dishes and promptly respond to customers' questions...

If you’re around Kanazawa Station and craving a solid kaiseki meal, there’s a spot tucked away in the station’s shopping arcade that’s worth the detour. It’s deep inside, so no windows, but the lighting and decor make up for it, keeping things calm and inviting.

The meal is everything you’d expect from kaiseki—beautifully plated, with a thoughtful balance of warm and cold dishes. I went for the sashimi, which was spot-on: sea urchin that melted in my mouth and tuna that didn’t disappoint. My husband’s meat dish earned a “very good” from him, which is high praise. A nice touch: endless green tea, rice, and miso, which isn’t common but really adds to the experience.

Service was on point—attentive without hovering. Price-wise, it feels fair for what you get; my sashimi set was ¥3800, and his meat was ¥4800. For an uncomplicated kaiseki meal in the heart of Kanazawa Station, this place...
