Read moreOne of the few restaurants that still serves Jibuni (Kanazawa-style stewed duck) and Kaga Yasai Tempura, both of which are Kanazawa specialties. These dishes are offered as a set, accompanied by rice, miso soup, chawanmushi, and pickles.
Jibuni consists of duck meat, vegetables, gluten cakes, and wasabi. The flavors are authentic and unlike anything we've found elsewhere, especially the jibuni. Service was on point—attentive without hovering. Price-wise, it feels fair for what you get; my sashimi set was ¥3800, and his meat was ¥4800. For an uncomplicated kaiseki meal in the heart of Kanazawa Station, this place...
