After reading such positive reviews we thought we must try the famous Tonkatsu for ourselves. We were greeted with a short queue outside. At the entrance you have to write down your name, a number of people, and simply wait. Once you’re inside, you’ll be presented with the menu cards and some iced green tea. We ordered regular Tonkatsu and a Noto pork Tonkatsu, which came with (unlimited refills of) seaweed rice, cabbage and miso soup. The pork was soft and made to medium rare, had a soft texture, but the meat itself - slightly watery which was such a letdown. The restaurant was very quiet when I visited around 4:30 PM, and the food was served pretty quickly. They also have an English menu, which made ordering easy.
