One to put on your café bucket list... So after a cold rain soaked self-guided tour of Kanazawa Castle, I was heading down the hill when I discovered a real coffee gem that has it all, this most charming café, Sway Coffee Roasters Kanazawa. Not just another café. This is a coffee oasis just overflowing with sheer class, chic atmosphere, refinement, a certain comforting warmth, and yet so chill and friendly, just like the baristas behind the counter. All this and, yes, truly fabulous coffee roasted to perfection. The best I have had in Japan hands down and some of the best anywhere. This one is the real deal, for true lovers of coffee. I don't mean to be clichéd but......

Good for a break after visiting the garden. Stylish, convenient and relaxing. The music playing inside was not too loud.

The male manager spoke english quite good. I hope he gets a promotion XD. He was also friendly and suggested other places to see around Kanazawa.

Not an expert on food, but overall I had no issues with it. Tasty, not overly sweet and well balanced. If you are lactose intolerant do not worry, they have alternative milk options like oat milk and etc.

My first great coffee since I landed from Haneda 4 days prior and have been through the Hokuriku region. I stumbled upon this coffee shop when I went down to get to the bus station and the store was not gimmicky at all despite it being the only store not serving ice cream or selling lacquerware outside of the Kenrokuen Garden.
