The matcha parfait was delicious, though not exactly mind-blowing. Since Kanazawa is known for its gold leaf, they offer an option to add it for an extra 1,000 yen — which is quite pricey. This was honestly the best decision I made all day. Such a beautiful experience. I can't eat any dairy, and have had no luck finding a place to do match or shaved ice without it. Absolutely love this tea house! Kengo Kuma has created a very beautiful and zen space. Was lucky to experience the tranquil first floor with gorgeous outlook with no crowd around. Loved their desserts and tea too. The parfait was the best I've tried. Bought the Kaga Bocha as it was just amazing.
