Tempura Yoshizakiya — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Came here with my father on a Friday night due to good Google reviews. There was no one else there, which was a shame, as the atmosphere was amazing, the waitress was lovely and the chef was skilled at his job (such good food!!). We even got to taste special Acacia tempura.

As the restaurant is a little ways away from the main street, perhaps people don't just pass by it? But it's definitely worth the detour! Course (C) had a great variety of food, and the quality felt quite high. On top of tempura + sashimi, there were number of pretty local feeling dishes (not sure what half of them were, but all were good/ interesting at least)

As far as we could tell; there wasn’t an a la carte menu, though with basic Japanese we were able to add an extra dish of kingfish sashimi on top (+1000 yen)

Very authentic set menu with perfect tempura being the highlight, the chef was a master of his craft. We paid 2400 yen each for a set menu (the also have a cheaper and more expensive set) they have english menus, which was very well priced and we got a few dishes and many tempura items. I would say if you aren't a adventurous eater be aware you might get some dishes like snails and fermented squid (i think that's what it was) but they were all delicious and well prepared with great flavours.
